To make it easy to distinguish between the two removers, the FR-7 has a silver-colored plating. The slightly smaller FR-1 is black.

Just works. Don’t forget to turn counter clock wise the wheel when stuck in a vice. Don’t mistake also for the FR-1, they look very much alike but the FR-1 on an FR-7 may ruin your free-wheel (and the FR-1 remover). And the FR7 will not enter the FR-1 wheel. I had to test the two of them in a bike shop to be sure which I wanted to buy.
this tool is essential to properly fit FALCON freewheels for removal. shimano is close, but not exact. get the tool if you get a falcon freewheel, combined it will still be cheaper than a shimano freewheel. realize that falcon freewheels are found on bargain bikes, btw.
It made the work easier.I had no problem after using this item. my son was very pleased to know his bike was ridable again
