Very, very small bike. No bigger than our 16″ Huffy! This bike was such a disappointment! It is very cute and Mongoose is a good brand, so I had very high hopes. As her mom, I assembled the bike myself for my 7 year old daughter. It was pretty easy to assemble, although the instructions were a little confusing in that it detailed 2 different types of handlebars and how to assemble each, but the pictures in the manual did not match the handlebars on the actual bike, so I had to wing it. All in all, it took me less than an hour.
Perfect For My Short 5 Year OId She absolutely loves this bike. I was a bit worried that 18″ would be too high for a just-turned 5 year old who is on the short and slight side. But she has no problems peddling up and down the driveway, braking, turning, etc.Putting it together was a breeze and took no time at all.
Missing parts, terrible Customer Service experience. The first bike ordered arrived missing a multitude of parts, with pedals that won’t thread into the axle. After spending 1hr assembling, I ended up with a useless bike and a very disappointed 7-year old.Since the main object was to get my daughter a working bike asap, I ordered a second thinking it would come complete. Sending this one back too.
