About Mongoose
Founded in 1974 in a Southern California garage, Mongoose has always been an innovator. From the company’s initial cast-magnesium MotoMag wheels to its current crop of BMX, mountain, and pavement bikes, the Mongoose name has been synonymous with bicycle performance. Mongoose builds specifically for riders, which is why the company’s BMX designers aren’t wasting time watching reruns on ESPN2. Instead, they’re constantly testing their new designs at the park, on the track, and on the hill. This continuous experimentation is what drives Mongoose to cook up things like the Front Porch head tube, which lets you fine-tune the handling on Black Diamond series mountain bikes, or Freedrive suspension technology, which eliminates pedal bob and provides a super-efficient full suspension. Mongoose bikes don’t just push the limits; they set new ones.

woo whoo!! We just received this bike today (delivered by fed ex)… the box was definiely beat up, but the bike was in perfect condition!! We are really happy with it! My son is going to love it for christmas!! He is 4 & 1/2 and about 45″ tall, so he is kinda between sizes for bikes -20″ is too big and 16″ is too small- this is the perfect size for him!! We looked all over for an 18 inch bike and none of them were as cool as this one! I would recommend this bike to anyone with a kid who is in between…

M. Crawford says:

Defective Frame I purchased this bike and could not assemble it because the forks that hold the front wheel in place were improperly welded. They were visibly off-center. I agree with other comments that the box arrived in terrible condition, but the reason this is important is that I could clearly see that the box had been opened and re-taped. The brass staples were there but were not attached. This leads me to believe that these bikes are being returned, re-packed and shipped back out for a variety of…

bad goose experience! as soon as i seen the box come off the UPS truck i knew it wasnt good!Parts of the bike were sticking out of the box!The parts inside were rolling around. The box look like it went to HELL and back!! to make a long story short, the frame was dinged up and scratched,it was missing parts and the forks were bent! over all this is a cheaply made bike thats very heavy! These are not made like the great gooses of yesteryears!Poorly packaged, poorly made!
